IN ITS ROOTS

TREE NO LONGER HOLDS ITS LEAVES
LIFELESS SKELETON ON THE PRAIRIE
WIND BLOWS FROM COLD MOUNTAIN
THRU VALLEYS BELOW

RIVERS,STREAMS ICED SOLID
AS SNOWY TUNDRA ENVELOPS
ALL AROUND.
WARMER DAYS MY TREE
HELD SO VERY MUCH

LIFE COULD SEE
YET,SEEMING LESS NOW
OF LIFE.
VOID,GONE NOW THE GREEN, PATCH
LEAVES

THIS SEASON,OF CHANGE
TODAY. IT WILL BE STILL
QUIET IN THE FIELDS
OF GREEN.

TO RETURN LARGER, ROBUST
VIGORNESS AND STRENGTH
IN ITS ROOTS.
WITH GOD IN MY SOUL.
